OHIO (WSYX) — GAHANNA. Even though this year’s Super Bowl will be played more than a thousand miles away, its aftermath will be felt close to home.

Philadelphia-based Marlow’s Steaks in Gahanna is anticipating a busy Sunday in advance of the game, and owner Jomar Shepperd says Columbus has shown the restaurant some “brotherly love” since it opened in the spring.

Sheppard told ABC 6 that “we were booming before but now with the buzz.”

The phones at Marlow’s, famous for its Philly cheesesteaks, are ringing off the hook as Eagles fans stock up on the perfect “taste of Philly” for the big game.

Sheppard estimates that between 400 and 600 sandwiches were sold today, and he doesn’t expect business to slow down any time soon.

“Sheppard remarked, “When the Phillies were doing well, we did great for the Phillies run. People come in to watch the 6ers games now, and with the Eagles rolling all year, a lot of people have come in after hearing about us.” We’ve benefited greatly as a company.”
